The Co-operative revolution started in 1844 when the Rochdale Pioneers created a business that served communities and then reinvested its profits in them. Today, that spirit is still going strong. Our pharmacies deliver a friendly, trusted, award-winning service in branches that are at the heart of communities.

The Co-operative Pharmacy is the largest British owned Community Pharmacy in the UK; we’re confident about our future and growing all the time. Our branches are located right in the heart of communities. Our customers will seek your advice in MURS, weight management, diabetes, smoking cessation, healthy eating, asthma, children’s health and many other health related matters. We are also the largest flu jab provider in the UK.

The Co-operative Pharmacy is part of The Co-operative Group which employs 120,000 people and has 4,500 outlets in a range of businesses from Food to Funeralcare

We’re a commercial business to rival any other on the high street, but we’re also a business with a real conscience. All of our businesses are driven by our ethical values. At The Co-operative Pharmacy we’ve developed an initiative to protect homeless people from exposure to the sun, giving out thousands of bottles of sun lotion in UK cities. Similarly, recognising the difficulty partially sighted customers were having with their medication, we were the first to introduce Braille onto medicine packaging. We are always looking for new ways to improve the communities in which we work.
