The Co-operative revolution started in 1844 when the Rochdale Pioneers created a business that served communities and then reinvested its profits in them. Today, that spirit is still going strong. Approaching 6 million members, 120,000 employees and over 4,500 outlets, we are now a business to rival any other on the high street. The Co-operative Group encompasses a vast range of businesses including food, farms, travel, pharmacy, financial services, legal services, motor dealerships, online electricals and funerals.

The Co-operative Pharmacy is the largest, British owned community pharmacy in the UK, so we’re sure to have the perfect opportunity near to you. Aiming to become the leading provider of pharmacy services within the community, we’re expanding and investing in new ideas and services to bring better health to more people. We’re also investing heavily in updating and re-furbishing our branches. The future’s looking great, and now we’re on the look-out for bright, commercial and customer focussed individuals to join us.

Our pharmacies deliver a friendly, trusted, award-winning service in branches that are at the heart of communities.

When you join our world, you’ll be responsible for the following:

· Supporting the ongoing development of all team members to improve their personal performance and exceed business objectives.

· Building effective working relationships with local GPs and maintaining our high professional standards.

· Ensuring the branch operates in line with laid down SOPs and Professional and Regulatory standards

· Maximising service income for the pharmacy through the provision of all PCO commissioned services.

To do this you must be...

•A Registered Pharmacist
•MUR accredited and experienced in delivering services to customers
•Committed to continual personal and professional development
•An effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers alike
•Able to understand the key drivers for profitability in a community based pharmacy
