About the department

Working as part of the Clinical Training team your role will be to facilitate the learning and development of our pharmacist colleagues at all levels from graduate through to full professional practice.

The role will be field based supporting trainees across a defined geographical area however you will need to attend meetings in support centre/other locations outside of the area as required.

About the opportunity

  • Delivery of training to a range of experience levels including undergraduate, pre-registration and early years of practice
  • Responsible for delivery of training including pre-registration development days and early years of practice workshops
  • Supporting programme development including review of new and existing learning materials.
  • Undertake regular reviews with learners to ensure progress as well as providing honest and constructive feedback
  • Act as a role model and mentor to delegates, ensuring they derive maximum learning from these opportunities and drive their own personal development
  • Proactively manage issues raised by delegates locally and escalate further as appropriate.
  • Identification of learners who require additional support and work alongside the wider support teams to provide advice and guidance for these individuals
  • Deliver programmes using a blended approach to include group learning and webinars and considering different learning styles

About you

  • Essential
  • GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • Evidence of supporting individuals in learning/training
  • Strong coaching ability
  • Driver’s license
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience of delivering training
  • Experience presenting to a group
  • Experience in mentoring
