Drugmart Pharmacy has two vacancies for pre-registration pharmacists for summer 2018 and 2019 start. Excellent Pre-registration training record and support staff. TIER-2 SPONSORSHIP PROVIDED.

Salary package

• £18500-22,500 Per Annum

Main duties and responsibilities

• Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling
• Responds to symptoms and recommends appropriate OTC medication and that instructions are understood by patients
• Counsel and advise patients appropriately under supervision
• Highlights a drug’s potential side effects, identifies harmful interactions with other drugs
• Checks that recommended doses are not being exceeded
• Maintains prescription files and records issue of controlled drugs and other drugs having a potential for addiction
• Ensures that drugs and medicaments are in good supply and are stored properly
• Capable to communicate with Doctors/Nurses and other health care professionals
• Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers and staff in accordance with the Data Protection Act
• Develop good management, leadership and communication skills to prepare for future role as a qualified pharmacist.
• To participate in the training program as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and prepare for the pre-registration examination

Essential Personal Specifications:

education

• UK Pharmacy Degree or equivalent (Register with GPHC for Preregistration Training)
• A previous higher Degree in Pharmacy

Training, Experience and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of Clinical Pharmacy
• Basic knowledge of Pharmacy, Law and Ethics
• Excellent customer care skills

Aptitude, Skills and Competencies

• Good written, reading and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Aware of own limitations and able to ask for help when needed
• Problem solving skills & able to make decisions

Specific job requirement

• Ability to prioritise own work effectively
• Good organisational skills
• Good time management skills
• Good documentation and record keeping skills 

Work timings

• You must be available to work till late night and on weekends if needed.
• You will be working 37.5 hours per week.
• Ability to vary hours in accordance with the different opening times in operation if needed
