Revalidation reviewers
Are you looking to broaden your experience? We have a number of opportunities for pharmacist independent prescribers, pharmacy technicians and lay people to play a key part in the regulation of pharmacy professionals, and the introduction of revalidation, by becoming a revalidation reviewer.
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the independent regulator for pharmacy professionals and registered pharmacies in Great Britain. As part of our work to assure and improve pharmacy services, we will be requiring all pharmacy professionals to revalidate and renew their registration every year. As part of revalidation, they must submit records of continuing professional development, a peer discussion, and a reflective account. From these submitted records we select a sample and conduct reviews.
We are recruiting a number of revalidation reviewers, who will work in pairs online to review and feed back on allocated revalidation records against the review criteria.
As a reviewer you will be able to review documentation against defined criteria, ideally within an educational context, and to provide feedback based on evidence, ideally in a people development context. You will be able to write clearly and succinctly, with an excellent eye for detail, and have computer-based internet access within a confidential environment.
We are proud of being an employer that values the diversity of its workforce and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and sections of the community to apply.
