Primary Care Sheffield Ldt is owned and led by the city's GPs and was established in 2015 to improve patient care through a unified supportive approach to General Practice.
We are looking for pharmacists who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role in Sheffield general practices to:
- Optimise the use of medicines
- Improve the safety and quality of prescribing
- Perform specific elements of general practices’ clinical workload
This is a new, exciting post in which you could make a real impact. As the role is patient-facing, you will see how your role directly impacts the community you serve.
This role is being recruited as part of a city-wide project funded by NHS England and operating in partnership with the British Medical Association, Health Education England, Royal College of GPs and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

As part of the programme, this role will have access to free, comprehensive training and development run by CPPE. Participation in this programme is an essential part of the role. Those pharmacists who are not yet prescribers will be expected to become Independent Prescribers as part of the training programme, for which, funding is also available.
One practice has a particular interest in developing a pharmacist skills around DMARD management, asthma, diabetes and mental health, as well as management of the medication of a significant number of international students.

Salaries in range £36,600 to £41,787 (Equivalent to band 7)
