Support Pharmacist - University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
Pharmacy@QEHB Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University Hospitals Birmingham, which was established in 2011. We provide a pharmacy service for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) and Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham.
We currently service both the out-patients and in-patients due to be discharged from QEHB and out-patients at Heartlands. We operate in a manner akin to a community pharmacy with the hospital clinical pharmacy team maintaining oversight and responsibility for the clinical accuracy of prescriptions.
We are currently recruiting for pharmacists to join our team to work primarily at the QEHB site although there may be a need to work at Heartlands from time to time. It is essential that the candidates are flexible and have experience in a busy pharmacy environment with high volume dispensing, possess excellent customer service and team leading skills. We welcome applicants from either hospital or community settings.
This is a unique opportunity to support the delivery of the care from our automated pharmacies. We support post-graduate education and the development of staff, therefore this is an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist who may wish to gain secondary care experience to further a clinical pharmacy role in the future.
To apply please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a covering letter outlining your previous experience. Closing date for applications is 19thJanuary 2019. Interviews will be held w/c 28thJanuary 2019
