PHARMACY INVOICING ASSISTANT & DISPENSER
The Pharmacy Shop is the trading name for a wholly owned subsidiary (the business) of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. It operates to provide exceptional, accessible and innovative healthcare and pharmaceutical services for the Trust’s patients, staff and the local community.
The post holder will be employed by The Pharmacy Shop, not the NHS.
We require a dependable, enthusiastic, motivated pharmacy assistant to deliver a high quality, effective and efficient patient focused service.
You would be fully supported in your personal development with a personal development plan updated annually.
You must possess excellent skills in accuracy and good attention to detail as you will be responsible for ordering stock and ensuring invoices are paid in timely manner. There will also be scope for providing dispensing cover and this will require you to be flexible and adaptable. You should also possess good communication skills and be a committed team player as you will need to occasionally cover the front counter.
Hospital experience is not essential and applications from community pharmacy are welcome.

The Pharmacy Shop is a registered pharmacy with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) situated conveniently on site at Stepping Hill Hospital. The shop has been established primarily with the aim of delivering a more personalised and efficient experience for our outpatients. In addition to this we also offer provide a variety of pharmaceutical services to the general public, patients and members of staff.
We currently provide a convenient and expanding retail opportunity. This includes offering a range of over-the-counter medicines as well as other health and beauty products.
As well as our retail services, the Pharmacy Shop provides specialist hospital prescription based dispensing and counselling services to help patients manage their healthcare and medicines. This can be especially important for patients and their carer’s when being initiated on new medication.
The Pharmacy Shop also provides health and wellbeing support such as with smoking cessation and emergency hormonal contraception which is available to the public, patients and staff. We have two consultation areas which are available to discuss any healthcare related concerns with a pharmacist.
