Professional Services Development Manager
Due to an impending retirement, Community Pharmacy South Central is looking to fill the position within our team of Professional Services Development Manager. This role reports directly to the Chief Officer.
The main purpose of the PSDM is to engage with commissioners of services at an operational level and to represent the interests of community pharmacy in support and development of pharmaceutical and public health service specifications intended for delivery by contractors.
Working closely in support of the CPSC Service Development Subcommittee and its Chair, the PSDM will act as secretary to the Subcommittee and be the first port of call for contractors with service queries.
On a regular basis the PSDM will provide oversight of current and potential future commissioned services on behalf of CPSC, liaising with the Chief Officer and creating reports for the Committee, via the Subcommittee, on progress.
As the local health economies evolve and as new potential providers emerge (such as Federated GP practices, Multi-Speciality Community Providers, Co-commissioning models, Primary Care Networks etc.) the Professional Services Development Manager will engage with commissioners, other potential providers and partners to raise the profile of community pharmacy locally and champion pharmacy’s position as a provider of choice.
This is a full time employed position offering an attractive salary package that includes 5 weeks holiday per year, pension and travel expenses. All applicants must reside within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
