Job Details

We’re looking for a pharmacist to join the team in our Peterborough community pharmacy.

The importance of your role.

This is your chance to be part of something a bit different. A really great opportunity. You’ll help our customers feel good whilst you develop your career – from your professional expertise to your personal experience.

Making our customers feel better is what it’s all about. It’s everything from finding out how they feel or a friendly word of advice, and your passion will really come across. You’ll let them know that you’re there for them, when they want to pop in. Together these elements will play a big part in making us No 1 for Customer Care.

What you’ll be doing day to day.

As a Pharmacist your customer care will be inspiring, and always reassuring. It’s more than providing medicine, it’s looking after our customers and showing genuine care for them.

Using your expert knowledge will really benefit our customers. It could be a friendly word of advice, small tip or even just a comforting chat to put them at ease. You’ll keep our customers coming back. Getting to know them is important to us - a friendly chat can really go far.

You'll be on hand to recommend some of our many health services that they might not know we have. Inspire your Pharmacy team with your amazing customer care and attention to detail. Motivating and guiding them towards even better service. You're contagiously approachable attitude will really help make us a fantastic place to work, and to shop.

How will you do it?

Get to know our customers – it can make such a difference to the way we do things. We’re so proud of the professional standards we have, so getting the medicine they need is really important. Be confident about health services and how they can benefit our customers, let them know we're here to help them. Fantastic care will also drive sales.

Build great relationships with the Pharmacy team and local healthcare professionals, sharing your expert knowledge with them. A small piece of advice or info can go a long way.

What you’ll need to have.

We’re looking for really great people, with a friendly personality. It’s all about working together as one great team – after all it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. It’s a fantastic opportunity to add to your own development, and a chance to learn more about us as a business. You’ll need to have lots of community Pharmacy experience, along with really great customer service skills. But it isn’t just about experience, we’re interested in seeing a bit more, the real you – and that makes us all feel good.

Working with the NHS

As a community pharmacy, we are a key partner to the NHS. We work closely to agree new ways for pharmacists to provide community healthcare, and design new services which meet the specific needs of the communities in which we work.

Many of our pharmacy teams work with primary care organisations, meeting local healthcare needs, and with our national voice we are helping to shape Government thinking about our nation's health.

Expanding the role of pharmacy

We are committed to extending the role of pharmacy professionals as a primary health provider, in line with Government priorities. Our team of pharmacists and pharmacy support colleagues are passionate about providing expert advice and healthcare services and we pride ourselves in having great teams to deliver all our customers' healthcare needs. These professionals are at the very heart of our business. Examples of these pharmacy services are our Travel Vaccination Service, Winter Flu Vaccination Service, Smokeless Service and Diabetes Risk Assessment Service.
