This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacist to join us as an Assistant Manager in our Isle of Man store in Douglas!

We're looking for someone who leads and inspires the delivery of exceptional patient centred care whilst leading the safe and effective running of our pharmacy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Pharmacist who wants to join a strong leadership team focused on delivering amazing results. The store is a large Health & Beauty store taking over 200k per week. You would be accountable for inspiring and developing your team of 15 in the delivery of exceptional patient centred care, in a busy Island town centre.

The store offers all services including travel vaccinations and our two pharmacists who would support you, one is a qualified supplementary prescriber & the other is completing the Prescribing Course. We dispense over 3300 items per week, which includes a growing Care Homes business.

The Isle of Man offers an amazing quality of life with stunning landscapes, excellent schools, minmal crime and the world famous TT races. You have all the benefits of working in an offshore jurisdiction while maintaining excellent links to the UK with 4 return flights per year included.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working in partnership with the healthcare team using your own intuition, expertise and experience to deliver complete care solutions for our customers and patients
• Setting the standard of what a brilliant pharmacy ‘looks and feels like’ from an operational perspective by working in partnership with your pharmacy technician
• Delivering the pharmacy strategy through care conversations with customers and patients providing expert advice throughout
• Accountable for professional pharmacy legal & ethical decisions in the pharmacy
• Actively supporting the development, education & training of colleagues; building pharmacy capability of store teams
• Conducting regular reviews, audits and risk assessments to protect patient and public safety
• Work to deliver world class professional services – personally and through the pharmacy team

• Be registered with relevant pharmacy Regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)

• Be commercially astute, understand the growth and development of the healthcare industry
• Role model first class communication skills, where you will hold excellent face to face interactions with all types of customers and patients
• Thrive in a team centred approach with strong collaborative working 
• Have a passion for keeping up to date with your own learning and development, completing all Pharmacist mandatory and directed training
