Specialist Multisector Pharmacist
Job Ref: 374-CF757-A
Salary: £37,570 - £43,772 pa
Contract:
Up to 2-year Fixed Term

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust provides NHS hospital and community services throughout East Sussex. We provide our services at two district general hospitals, Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital, community hospitals in Bexhill, Crowborough, Lewes, Uckfield and Rye and a number of clinics and health centres, GP surgeries, schools and in people’s homes.

Come and be part of our multisector Vocational Training Scheme (VTS) pharmacist team. During the two-year training programme you’ll have the unique opportunity to train and develop your personal skills across GP practices within the local Primary Care Networks (PCN), rotations in acute medicine and community health services; CCG; Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes service (MOCH) and specialist inpatient and Community Mental Health (CMHS).

Pharmacists meeting the thresholds within the programme will have the opportunity to apply for the HEE commissioned Clinical Enhanced Pharmacist Independent Prescribers (CEPIP) qualification enabling you to broaden your sphere of competence.

With our local NHS partners, we’re looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacists, who have relevant experience in any sector of pharmacy. You’ll have a designated Educational Supervisor who will support your development with the opportunity to demonstrate Foundation to Advanced level Practice across a range of sectors.

You will be based at Eastbourne or Hastings and the post is varied as you’ll work from the three main trust hospitals and other NHS partnership sites across East Sussex.

Whilst delivering a pharmacy service, the multisector VTS offers you a contemporary and innovative approach to post-registration training. You’ll develop a clinical skills base along with the optimum skill set for a pharmacist caring for patients in and across any sector of healthcare equipping you for forthcoming pharmacist roles within the locality partners supporting the desired outcomes of the NHS Long Term Plan.
