Programme Tutor – Pharmacy

West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds  

37 hours per week, Permanent 

Salary: £25,288 - £28,048 depending on experience 

Are you a registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist?  Would you be passionate about moulding Pharmacy Professionals of the future? This could be the role for you!

Join us on our journey to expand our provision with more specialist programmes, whilst promoting apprenticeship standards to ensure our learners are ready for industry.

You will be providing inspirational support to our learners to achieve their Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, via face to face meetings and virtual learning at various employer sites around East Anglia/Midlands. We are now have national coverage and there may be occasions you will be required to travel across the UK.

We currently cover areas such as Watford, Stevenage, Kings Lynn, North Essex and more!

Our Programme Tutors are invested in their own learning and development and are motivated by the learner’s journey.

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, monitor and record the delivery of on-the-job learning, in conjunction with the employer, so that the learners are appropriately prepared for passing their apprenticeship
  • Maintain timely, detailed and accurate records of all learner activities throughout the journey to achievement, ensuring that records are detailed and current in preparation for monthly 121and that they meet College and external stakeholder’s quality requirements at all times
  • Produce detailed monthly caseload reports for use in one-to-one meetings with the line manager.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

  • Registered with GPhC
  • L3 Pharmacy Service Skills
  • L3 Pharmaceutical Science
  • Current practice working within Pharmacy environment within hospital environment
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
