Private GP Practice in North West London looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Pharmacist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic pharmacist to join the team at this growing healthcare company in the heart of North London. It would be ideally suited for an ambitious person who would both enjoy working with the current team and impressive clientele of such a clinic, but also with aspirations to help and build the systems that will facilitate the next stages of growth and expansion.
The Brook Surgery is an exclusively private General Pratice providing >8,500 consultations per year to its registered patients. The current team includes eight GP's working in full and part-time roles supported by a Practice Manager, team of three receptionists and a Dispenser.
Services include:
- General practice for the whole family
- General Health Screening
- Covid Travel screening programme including Day 2 and Day 8 and Test to Release
- Well Woman screening and contraceptive services
- Childhood and Travel vaccination
- Cryotherapy and Cautery of Skin Lesions
- Medicine provision via an in-house private Dispensary
- In-house Psychotherapy, Ultrasound and guided Joint Injections
This new role will replace that of a Dispenser, and will continue all their previous responsibilities while also bringing graduate-level expertise to Clinical Risk and Medicine Management across the practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide on-going Dispensing services
- Repeat Prescription Management
- Stock Control
- Support Reception team when the clinic is busy
- Working with senior clinical management to develop robust medicine management systems across the organisation
- Working with senior clinical management to implement a Clinical Risk management system
- Assist senior management in the design and possibly delivery of vaccine programmes including flu and travel services
Key Qualifications
- A Pharmacy Degree
- Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Hepatitis B immunisation (or willing to be immunised after commencing)
- Up to date DBS check
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years post qualification employment
- Good interpersonal skills with experience of team-working in a public-facing role
- Ability to multi-task, prioritising work accordingly
- Experience of Risk Management Systems including Audit and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience in innovation and designing new systems or services within an organisation preferred but not essential
Hours
- 9am-6pm, Monday- Friday with an hour off for lunch (some flexibility may be needed to cover other team member's leave within the opening times of the clinic which are 8am-7pm
