Main Responsibilities:

  • To follow and promote relevant SOPs and Company policy and procedure to always ensure patient safety.
  • To efficiently check all information on dispensed patient orders to ensure that any errors are identified and corrected prior to the order leaving the responsibility of the pharmacy.
  • To work collaboratively with other members of the dispensing team to ensure the efficient and safe running of the dispensary.
  • To read and comply with all communications from head office and others to ensure necessary actions are undertaken for the pharmacy and customers.
  • To maintain good housekeeping.
  • To carry out any reasonable request given by appropriate persons.
  • To contribute to HealthNet’s commitment to continuous improvement by forwarding your suggestions to appropriate persons.
  • To proactively support the HealthNet Operation by helping in other departments which may be busier than your own at a particular time.

General Responsibilities:

  • Know the Company strategy and make sure what you do on a day-to-day basis is in line with the strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the work you do is of a high-quality standard and HealthNet’s procedures and policies are always followed.

  • Work flexibly and efficiently to meet internal and external customer needs, whilst maintaining the highest possible professional standards.

  • Always maintain confidentiality and security.

Experience:

  • 1 years’ experience in a Pharmacy setting - Desirable.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ3 Accuracy Checking Technician qualification

Personal Skills & Qualities:

  • Confident in providing accurate, technical expert knowledge on the accurate supply of the medicines we dispense.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with the Pharmacy team, inspiring the team to work to a high standard to ensure we give customers and patients the best care possible.

Confidentiality and GDPR:

  • Observe and adhere to at all time the Confidentiality and GDPR statements listed in the contract of employment.
  • Always adhere to and enforce the most up to date version of the Confidentiality and GDPR policies and ensure any breaches of either policy are reported immediately to the Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Pharmacovigilance

  • To be trained in pharmacovigilance ad report all patient safety events and product quality events you may become aware of, from any source, within required timeframes

Good Distribution Practice

  • To be trained in Good Distribution Practice and follow GDP standards at all times during the course of your work as defined in the Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 343/01)

Health & Safety

  • Adhere to and enforce the most up to date version of the Health, Safety and Environmental policy at all times and ensure all Hazards, near miss, accidents, unsafe working practices and breaches of the policy are reported to the HSE responsible person within the Organisation.
