“When you choose to join us, you’re choosing more than just a job…. you’re choosing to make a difference”

In October 2021 our new addiction service supporting the people of Cumbria will go live.  We will be providing a safe environment in which people can develop their life skills and confidence, to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, receive support around other addictions, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.

We have an exciting role for Health and Wellbeing Nurses within the North and South of Cumbria, where you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing good clinical practice. Humankind’s clinical teams are supported by a multi-disciplinary, forward thinking, and innovative Clinical Department. Regular clinical supervision, appraisal and support with revalidation is available, as well as generous CPD time and annual leave.

As a health and Wellbeing Nurse you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support who are experiencing difficulties from substance misuse, working with them to develop the personal, flexible, and realistic support packages they need to help turn things around. This is an opportunity to not only deliver clinical services in a supportive environment, but to be involved in shaping the service to ensure the people of Cumbria receive the best possible support.

Do you want to work in a robust and innovative environment where you can use your clinical skills and creativity to support people in achieving their best outcomes? If you’re looking for a change and want to be involved in the development of an outstanding substance misuse and addiction service, then now is the time to join Humankind.

If you feel that you would fit with our values & ethos, are passionate about supporting people, but maybe don’t feel you have the experience required, talk to us about your transferrable skills. For the right people, we can provide development to help you to realise your potential and career aspirations.
