We are looking for experienced senior pharmacists across Great Britain with a strong clinical background and an independent prescribing qualification to join a dynamic team where you will contribute towards patient safety by helping to improve the quality of pharmacy practice and support the delivery of our 2030 vision.

Location: Home based

Salary: £21,853 - £25,318 per annum + £2,580 car allowance plus benefits, depending on skills and experience (FTE: £43,706 - £50,635 per annum + £5,160 car allowance)

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Closing date: 4 October 2021 (12pm)

Interview dates: TBA

The role

  • Are you a front-line practising pharmacist independent prescriber?
  • Do you want the opportunity to develop a portfolio career?
  • Do you want to apply your clinical knowledge and experience to provide assurance to patients and the public about the quality of pharmacy services and help drive improvement across a broad range of specialist clinical services?

To reflect the broader range of specialist clinical services offered through registered pharmacies, we continue to build capacity and expand the clinical skills set across the inspectorate with the recruitment of experienced pharmacy professionals to make inspection judgements on the quality of clinical pharmacy services.

You will have the opportunity to enhance your own profile and skillset and gain regulatory experience which will involve collaboration with different teams, and partnership working with other regulators and sector bodies.

We welcome applications from currently practising, registered pharmacists with a significant clinical experience in medicines safety, non-medical prescribing and risk management.

Benefits

In return for their commitment and enthusiasm, applicants can expect a rewarding and challenging work environment, good work-life balance and workload plus an excellent benefits package that includes:

  • 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays (pro-rata) with the option to buy an additional 5 days
  • a choice between two pension providers: NHS pension scheme or Standard Life.
  • flexible working arrangements.
  • career breaks and sabbaticals.
  • private medical insurance, life assurance, season ticket loan, bike loan and many more.
