About The Role

The branch is in a great location within proximity of the M40 and offers free parking as well as other local amenities. This friendly pharmacy hub is a great place for a newly qualified pharmacist to start their career.

Our off-site dispensing operations will include supporting either manual CDS dispensing or PAS (Prescription Assembly Solution), an automated system for assembling patient prescriptions. Both models fulfil prescriptions off-site at large hubs and then delivers complete patient orders locally, to community pharmacies.

We have a wide range of exciting opportunities within off-site hubs, but also in pharmacy settings, hospitals, care homes, mental health facilities and prisons.  You’ll have access to training and development programmes at all stages of your career through one of our many pathways. The opportunities are endless. In addition, we offer:

• 33 days Holiday (including bank holidays)
• Up to 50% staff discount at LloydsPharmacy in store and online!
• Our Care Rewards – Cash back offers on high street retailers

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s eager to share their expertise, inspire their team and drive a continuous learning culture to constantly improve your pharmacy and put our customers first. You must have an MPharm degree or equivalent and be registered with the GPhC by your start date. You will also be comfortable providing services to patients, including vaccinations.

Regardless of your circumstances, we have a number of options to support you in your move to LloydsPharmacy whether that’s support for overseas pharmacists, relocation, our European Pharmacist Programme or the opportunity to gain your independent prescriber qualification (dependent on location and requirements).

About Us

LloydsPharmacy is a household name, part of the wider McKesson UK family, with over 1,400 stores nationwide; accessibly located within local communities, health centres and online. Working as a key partner to the NHS, we dispense more than 150 million prescription items per year supported by over 19,000 colleagues.

Our off-site dispensing operation consists of four large dispensing hubs in Ruislip, Warrington, Bristol and Glasgow. These Hubs process large volumes of repeat prescription work on behalf of approximately 600 Lloyds stores collectively.  The role these Hubs play is critical to reducing the volume of repeat dispensing in store so that the store can focus on other activities and services. The teams in the Hubs core focus is providing an accurate and timely turnaround of patients’ prescriptions, working as a team and closely with store colleagues to ensure standards are maintained.

The four hubs utilise a combination of an advanced automated PAS system (Prescription Assembly Solution), as well as manual CDS dispensing activity.

We are defined by our ICARE values, and ILEAD behaviours. Together, ICARE and ILEAD build our shared value system and are the key pillars of McKesson’s culture.

McKesson UK prides itself on being an equal opportunities employer, committed to diversity & inclusion, taking a person-centred approach to our interview process that is fair and free from both discrimination and bias. If you have any reasonable adjustment needs arising from a disability or medical condition to fully participate in the recruitment process, please discuss this with our recruitment teams.
