Long term (Locum) pharmacist required to work with excellent, well-trained support staff in a friendly 100 hour pharmacy located on a busy High Street.

Approximately 30 hours/week including weekends. The pharmacist is required to cover Friday-Sunday with the opportunity to alternate with weekday evenings.

We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic and customer orientated pharmacist who has experience with Proscript, to work closely with colleagues, customers and healthcare professionals to deliver high quality services.  The successful candidate will gain a wealth of experience and opportunity to develop their skills in this role.  They will be required to assist management in maintaining and developing procedures to continuously improve the service.

 

Services include:

Dispensing 11000+ items a month

Methadone

Needle exchange

Sexual health Services

Flu vaccinations

MDS

CPCS services

Travel clinic

Private oral PGDs

Busy over the counter sales and giving advice

Health checks

Blood tests

The successful candidate would also enjoy the opportunity to develop services that they think will benefit the business and the customers and will have plenty of opportunity for CPD.

Aims:

  • Provision of safe, good quality patient-centred care.
  • Maximise business growth with regards to NHS dispensing, Services and OTC sales.
  • Improve efficiency and the smooth running of day to day tasks
  • Assist in ensuring all legal and good practice regulations and obligations are met by the staff

Roles and Responsibilities;

  • Dispensing and checking of prescription medicines to the public
  • Provision of all nationally and locally commissioned NHS services.
  • Assist in routine daily, weekly and monthly procedures to ensure services are delivered with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in administrative housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with GPhC and NHS England regulatory requirements in all aspects of the Pharmacy
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with other professionals in local surgeries, care homes and with the LPC and NHS England.
