Support Pharmacist

We have an opportunity for a Pharmacist to join us in a Support role in Northwest Donegal (Named coolest place on the planet -National Geographic Traveller Cool List 2017!)

If you enjoy the countryside and want to get away from the hustle and stress of urban life, then Donegal could be the place for you. Our Pharmacy is situated in the market village of Creeslough, 10 minutes from seven beautiful beaches, mountain hikes, great surfing and fishing. Dunfanaghy, Carrigart and Letterkenny are only short drives away. So if you would like to say goodbye to long daily commutes, inflated house prices and high rents, this may be the opportunity for you!

Our ideal candidate will be happy and fulfilled as a community pharmacist and passionate about making a difference by delivering excellent patient and customer care. This is a full-time 5-day week role. There are no late nights, Sundays or Bank holidays. Some Saturday work will be required.

Brennan’s Creeslough has an excellent established team and a friendly, co-operative working relationship with the local doctors. Your regular days off will be covered by our group support pharmacist, with ongoing support from the Superintendent/owner and the network of six colleague pharmacists working in our small group in the Donegal area. If you enjoy variety, there will also be the opportunity to work occasionally in our other Donegal Pharmacies.

We offer a very attractive package for the right candidate, terms negotiable, depending on experience.

We can include financial assistance with relocation and also offer subsidised local accommodation in a studio apartment, if needed.  

The core role of our Support Pharmacist involves -

• Providing a safe and efficient dispensing service to all customers in accordance with the pharmacy guidelines.
• Ensuring safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers.
• Engaging actively with customers to encourage customer loyalty and confidence.
• Maintaining appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products.
• Assisting in managing the dispensary and staff

Our ideal candidate -

·       You are a fully qualified Pharmacist, registered with the PSI or eligible for same. *Recently qualified are welcome. This role may suit a new UK graduate, registering in Summer 2022 (We will provide assistance for NI/UK graduates with third country registration, along with full training in the Irish health schemes)

·       You genuinely enjoy and are fulfilled by your career choice as a community pharmacist

·       You’re accurate, with excellent attention to detail.

·       You have excellent communication and motivational skills

·       You can work on your own initiative

·       You have a strong professional ethos combined with some

commercial savvy

·       You’re a good communicator who gets along with people

*You are committed to your own self development

· You can prioritise and work well under pressure
