Role – Software Test Engineer

Location – Remote

Salary – £20,000 - £30,000 per annum

Role

As a Quality Assurance Test Engineer for server and web-based application software testing; having experience both creating and maintaining software automation test scripts. Must have a working knowledge of software engineering concepts such as software development standards, quality assurance standards, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), interpretation of product requirements, test plan and test case development, testing of software functionality, product installation, performance, load, and usability testing.  

Skills

  • Creating, maintenance and evaluation of software automation test scripts (including incorporation of dynamic test data) 
  • Execution, as required, of manual and automated software testing in areas involving installation, functional, performance and load, integration, and regression testing 
  • Gathering and validating application functional/performance/load requirements 
  • Creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases 
  • Management of defects within a corporate defect tracking system 
  • Documentation of process improvements regarding best practices regarding test automation 
  • Creation of test reports 
  • Maintenance of all test Documentation 

What we need from you

  • Test script development using Groovy in Katalon Studio
  • Experience writing feature files from Gherkin / BDD Script
  • Experience with Postman and automating API tests
  • Performance and Load testing
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSLT
  • Experience writing Microsoft C#, .NET
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with.NET Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari
  • Experience with VMware Server/Desktop Virtualization
  • Experience with source control management software, such as Azure DevOps
