Alchester Medical Group, a GP practice with over 21,500 patients, operates our Pharmacy; Minerva Clinical Services. We are looking for an ambitious Pharmacist to work both in community pharmacy and in our surgery supporting general practice. An interesting and unique role. 

We are located in Bicester and in Heyford Park, Oxfordshire. This is a wonderful large village location with huge redevelopment and enhanced community features such as a bistro, small boutique hotel, and local independent shops, school and community centre. We have a new building of 150m2 which has been fitted out to the highest standards. As surgery and pharmacy work closely together we have two GP rooms within the pharmacy and our patients love being able to see their GP at the pharmacy.

Our goal is to make this a growing independent pharmacy at the heart of Heyford Park and the neighbouring communities and to ensure that the pharmacy and surgery run together, in harmony and support a great patient experience.

You will need to be an enthusiastic pharmacist that will share their expertise, inspire the team and put our patients first. You recognise that this is an amazing and rare opportunity for you to bring general practice and pharmacy together like never before. Using your skills and experience we anticipate that you will continue to grow the service and will aim to offer a wide variety of NHS services such as, CPCS, Vaccinations, blood pressure readings and blood glucose monitoring.

Training and support will be provided and we will aid you in developing your own ideas to achieve your own goals. This role is ideal for pharmacists who are keen to make a career move to a more clinical-based role in community pharmacy and to take on the challenge of supporting general practice.  An Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential as wee will be happy to fund and support you to gain this.

You need to be GPhC registered with a minimum of 2 years’ community pharmacy experience.

We are flexible and looking for someone either part-time or full time as we would consider a job share. Our contracted core opening times are:

Monday to Friday- 9:00am till 5:00pm

Our extended hours are to 6:00pm daily.

Salary and hours are negotiable. This role is subject to a DBS check.
