Overview of the role
A Qualified Pharmacy Assistant role with a difference!
Working in a warehouse environment our digital pharmacy team are based within our state of the art distribution Healthcare Services Centre in Stoke. Our Qualified Pharmacy Assistant is a non-customer facing role within the pharmacy and perfect for candidates who prefer to work behind the scenes and focus on specialised tasks that support our patients and customers.
What you’ll do…
As our Qualified Pharmacy Assistant you’ll be focussed on delivering outstanding standards in patient and customer care by actively ensuring the smooth operation of our online pharmacy platform. Working closely as a team you’ll assist pharmacists and support your colleagues in processing patient and customer orders, handling enquiries, and providing excellent patient care & customer service.
Working hours
- Week 1 7am-3pm
- Week 2 11am-7pm

Our digital pharmacy is a distant selling pharmacy which means the patients don’t enter the premises but interact via our customer service team and the technology that supports the services. Our digital pharmacy has the second largest number of patients in the UK nominated to a single pharmacy, distributing circa 130,000 items every month currently and this is growing!
Main Responsibilities
- Processing online orders accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborating with pharmacists to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Managing inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Assisting in the packaging and shipping of orders.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of customer information.
The Ideal Candidate
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is required.
- You already have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Great team working skills as you’ll be working in a warehouse/non-customer facing environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail is essential and accuracy in order processing.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and online platforms is an advantage but we can train you.
